Ecto Tip : Deleting Unwanted Stationary

Ecto is a great piece of software with what seems like an endless feature set. If you are looking for a blogging client that doesn’t rely on a web browser, Ecto is a good as it gets. But alas, nothing is without its faults. One of it’s most useful features, referred to as stationary, allows you to create templates for similar posts in an effort to save time and energy. What this feature doesn’t let you do, is delete the stationary templates if you decide you no longer want them. How weird is that? Even great software is not immune from silly bugs and missing features it would seem.

Luckily, every problem has a solution. If you search on the support forums, you might stumble across this helpful forum post.

So if you would like to delete the stationary manually, explore the following folder in Finder:

~/Library/Application Support/ecto/stationaries

NOTE: a restart will be required after deleting the desired files
